We have our Appointment! – October 14, 2010!

For the last week and half Lindsey and I have been refreshing our email over and over in anticipation of this day. It finally came this morning from our case manager at CWA! On October 14, 2010 we have an appointment with the SDA at 11 AM to start the referral process! We’re already in the process of getting our flights booked, but it looks like we will be leaving for Kiev, Ukraine on Monday, October 11th! Praise the Lord!!

This is less than two weeks away, and we have so much to do! We have been awaiting this moment for over 13 months and God has graciously helped things come together for this moment. I still don’t think it will all sink in until we are over there, but we are overjoyed with excitement to meet our son or daughter, wherever he or she maybe be. Honestly, it’s so unreal that our child is over there right now, and will be united with us soon. I’m going to be a dad. We’re going to be parents. Ahhhh!

There’s really nothing much else to add at this point. I will keep you posted as the days get closer. As a heads up, we’ve been asked to not blog “online” during the actual trip. We are choosing to respect that wish. However, friends and family, I will be contacting you within the next week on how you can continue keep tabs on us. In the mean time, continue to pray for our trip and thank you for all of your support!
