Well, honestly I never thought the time would come. After a little nudge, and after a few years of annoyance due to a slow server and little to none maintenance, I’ve made the switch from my Blurty Journal to my new home here at LiveJournal. For those who are coming to me from Blurty, LiveJournal is the original source code that Blurty has borrowed over the past few years, so the technology is almost exactly the same. The only difference.. LiveJournal actually adds new features and styles, unlike Blurty who hasn’t touched their homepage since 2002. When I started this journal in 2003, I originally wanted a LiveJournal account, but at the time LJ did not give away free accounts. Ironically though, even though LiveJournal does provide free accounts today, since I have PayPal I decided to just go ahead and become a paid member which was about $25 for a year. Figured, why not? I wanted the sub domain, and I should be able to use more and more of these paid options down the road. Plus, I don’t feel bad contributing to the LiveJournal team as they keep their servers in top notch. I’ve become sick and tired of sometimes not being able to even load the old Blurty Journal, or sometimes not being able to update. My major concern was primarily not being able to import my entries from Blurty over to this journal. Well, as you can see I find a way. I had to do each entry one at a time, which I just got done spending an hour or so transferring. But I think it was worth it.
These last few days have been unbelievable. School is coming to a close again for the term. I think I’ll get decent grades this term, not the 4.0 I was hoping, but really who am I kidding? Myself, Matt, Mayling, Will, and David just got done with our Humanities project on Ohio’s Transportation system. It actually went pretty smooth considering we got it all together in the last few days before we presented on Friday. You’d think once we had that done, things would be calm as finals are next week. However that isn’t the case because Myself, Matt and Mayling again, as well as Mike, and Jay have another project to present in Systems Analysis this Thursday. Today at class was spent meeting with the group for that, and working on the concept webpage for Price’s Boat Works. Here’s what we got done in the first hour:
In other news… Bobby is home. Indeed. I drove as fast as I could off work yesterday to meet Nic up at Bobby’s house where we successfully snuck in and hid in his basement and surprised him. We were then followed around the house by the annoying news paper lady who kept taking pictures of us, why insisting that we act natural. Basically we just hung out with him, caught up some and headed back to Nic’s then onto Josh’s. It was pretty eventful. You’ll be hearing more from me as I get done with this presentation on Thursday. Hope you like the new journal and look. Till next time my friends…
